Junior/Middle DevOps Engineer

About the Project

We are looking for a Strong Junior to Middle DevOps Engineer to join a project focused on Azure-to-Azure cloud migration. The engagement involves infrastructure provisioning and database management within a secure, enterprise-grade environment.

The project operates under strict change management protocols with limited maintenance windows on weekends (twice a month). The successful candidate must be comfortable working overtime during these windows to ensure smooth migration execution with minimal business disruption.

Overtime Schedule & Rates

19:00 – 00:00 ×1.5 rate

00:00 – 09:00 ×2.0 rate

Project duration - 5-7 months with the possibility to extend

Since this is project work, there are no benefits or paid vacations

Approximate rate - 10-19 USD/h (depends on the seniority)

Responsibilities

Manage VM scaling parameters, custom types, and images

Ensure secure connectivity between private and public cloud environments

Manage public DNS configurations

Provision and configure serverless, NoSQL, in-memory, and relational database services

Archive and manage backup storage

Follow data security best practices and company data protection policies

Requirements

1–2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services

Foundational understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security concepts

Ability to work on well-defined technical tasks with guidance from senior engineers

Eagerness to grow in a real enterprise migration project with structured mentorship

Readiness to participate in weekend maintenance windows (~twice per month) with advance notice

Responsible approach to customer data handling and compliance requirements
